We are happy to announce that our Walker Scholars will be embarking on another amazing opportunity to travel to Nashville Tennessee to the Leading our Patients in Community Care APhA conference. The event will open up opportunities for our scholars to meet and network with some amazing individuals who have true insight into the legislative world of Pharmacy. The event will be headquartered at the luxurious Omni Nashville Hotel. Located just two blocks from the Music City Center, the Omni is fully integrated with the expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
We are so proud to announce that our very own Chuck Hennes, Hanna Murray, and Meaghan Freiter were lucky enough to be chosen by the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center to attend the first ever Medipreneurs Summit in Asheville, North Carolina. Our Scholars will have the chance to receive guidance from professionals in pharmacy world that teaches them to exit their comfort zone and create a business or lead their organization in a way that offers them freedom, money, and the ability to live a personal and professional life that aligns with their values. It's that time of year again for our scholars and our prestigious benefactor, Donna J. Walker, to come to the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and present to the new first year pharmacy students. Our Scholars will have to opportunity to share all of the unique opportunities that the program has opened up for them as well as help Mrs. Walker elaborate more about her program and what it means to be a Walker Leadership Scholar.
Our Walker Scholars will have to opportunity to have a lunch and learn with the one and only Dr. Kirk Randazzo Ph.D. Dr. Randazzo currently holds the titles of Director of Graduate Studies, Director of Leadership Studies, and is a Political Science and Leadership Professor in the department of Political Science at the University of South Carolina.
